Cocoa is known as the heart of the Chocolate Industry. The fat extracted from cocoa bean is called Cocoa Butter. It is mostly used in chocolate, fudge cakes, as well as cosmetics industry for beauty products such as skin cream. Global market size has been valued at USD 43.13 billion in 2017 and it is forecasted to reach USD 67 billion by end of 2025.
The different kinds of cocoa butter offered by FGI:
- Original – Deodorized Cocoa Butter: which is a regular deodorized cocoa butter like any deodorized cocoa butter in the world.
- Velvet – Refined Deodorized Cocoa Butter: which is a refined and deodorized cocoa butter with slightly lower melting curve that required slightly deeper cooling for proper crystallization. This type of butter is very suitable for ice cream coating (viscosity) or sprinkles, enrobing chocolate, molded shapes as well for blending with other cocoa butters or fats.
- Polar – White Refined Deodorized Cocoa Butter: which is a ultra-white cocoa butter specially developed for paper-white chocolate applications or for specialty applications like cosmetics or pharma.
